The CEO of Taco Bell just got a promotion and now so have several other of the chain’s executives.

Taylor Montgomery, the chain’s U.S. chief marketing officer, was promoted to global chief brand officer.

Luis Restrepo, who had been VP of brand and product marketing, will now serve as U.S. chief marketing officer in Montgomery’s place.

Dane Mathews, meanwhile, was promoted to global chief digital and technology officer.

Amy Ellis Durini, international chief marketing officer, will have her role expanded to include strategy. And Julie Davis, global chief legal officer, will add chief development officer for Taco Bell International to her list of responsibilities.

The changes follow the promotion of Taco Bell CEO Sean Tresvant to the additional title of chief consumer officer for parent company Yum Brands. The management changes are designed to improve the company’s focus branding, digital and development, functions the company considers critical in its goal to become a “global powerhouse.”

“Taco Bell’s future is built on being both globally consistent and locally relevant,” Tresvant said in a statement. He called the executives “exceptional leaders who embody our values and vision.”

Montgomery will lead Taco Bell’s brand vision worldwide. As U.S. CMO, he spearheaded marketing campaigns like Live Mas Live, the effort to “liberate” the “Taco Tuesday trademark” and product innovations such as Cantina Chicken.

Restrepo has overseen Taco Bell’s product pipeline and brand marketing efforts and was integral to products like Cheesy Street Chalupas.

Mathews has worked with Taco Bell since 2022 and is credited for elevating the chain’s digital channels.

Durini, meanwhile, will be tasked with building Taco Bell’s growth momentum internationally as both head of marketing and strategy for that division. And Davis will be responsible for growing the brand’s presence outside the U.S.
